Joseph Rooney
Chief Financial Officer
Joe Rooney has more than 23 years of experience in Finance. His extensive background includes a mix of large and small, publicly- and privately-held companies, across the technology, banking, and financial and consulting services industries. Most recently, Joe has specialized in helping emerging technology companies acquire funding and successfully execute growth strategies. Most notably, as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President,Finance of netForensics, Inc., a leading security information management (SIM) vendor, Joe worked with the founders to get the Company’s initial capital funding and then led two subsequent financing rounds as the Company expanded. He also helped negotiate and close the company’s strategic OEM agreement with Cisco as well as put in place a credit line facility as a bridge between funding rounds

Prior to netForensics, Joe was Controller at Market Arts Software, where, in addition to his operational responsibilities, he executed a spin-off strategy that enabled the Company to sub-divide its operations by business segment and eventually divest itself of those holdings. In addition to his technology experience, Joe has held senior SEC reporting, audit, and international accounting positions in the financial sector—including Bankers Trust, KPMG, and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. Joe is a New York State CPA, and received a B.S. in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Manhattan College.
