Chief Executive Officer, NetCom Systems
Niten Ved founded NetCom Systems in 1987. Niten has more than 25 years of experience in the networking and application software fields. Being a successful business entrepreneur, Niten is an avid technology innovator. Niten's expertise lies in areas of enterprise class network and systems design, development, network management & administration, project management, and testing. He has worked on a variety of projects involving real-time control systems, protocols, network management, database and financial applications.

In 1999 Niten co-founded netForensics with Rajeev Khanolkar. Niten was President and COO of netForensics from 2001-2004 after which he returned to NetCom Systems as CEO. At netForensics, he spearheaded the product engineering, development, quality assurance and support company, establishing netForensics as a global leader in Security Information Management. Niten's contributions helped the company win several technology awards for excellence including Best Product of the year in 2003. Under Niten technical leadership, netForensics also received high marks in Forrester's SIM technology evaluation, and recognized as a leader in Gartner's SIM magic quadrant.

Niten's extensive background in Enterprise Network Management has helped NetCom Systems build an extensive practice around Computer Associates products. Under his leadership, NetCom Systems has developed a number of successful products and solution integrations for the CA Unicenter platform. Three such products helped NetCom Systems achieve the CA Software Achievement Award at three successive CA World events. Niten's hands on approach to client requirements and his deep understanding of products, has helped NetCom Systems establish its reputation as a trusted advisor with its partners and customers alike.

Prior to founding NetCom Systems, Niten held senior technology roles at SWIFT and Lehman Brothers. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1986 with a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 1981, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Bombay University of India.
