Operation Manager Remote Management Services

Educational qualification (Must):
Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics or telecommunication or equivalent
Master of Science - Computer Science /Networking would be a plus
Certifications (Desired):
CISSP, ITIL, CCIE, MCTS/MCTIP
Job Responsibilities:
Management responsibilities for the operation and administration of the companys internal networks, servers, email and network security systems
Technical skills
Primary Skills
- Must have managed 24x7 infrastructure operation for US based organization
- Hands on Experience of Incident handling and Operations - SLA, Escalation and Notification, Workload tracking.
- Experience of overseeing NOC/SOC operation to support network infrastructure and/or server administration
- Strong background in enterprise management tools like Tivoli, CA Unicenter, BMC, HP Openview/Operation Center would be an advantage
- Experience of managing help desk workflows, processes and SLA matrix using tools like Service Desk, Remedy or similar tools
Other Skills
- Strong understanding of networking technologies and its application in the areas of IPT, Security, Wireless etc would be an advantage
- Experience of operating environment like Windows, Linux, HP-UX, Solaris and AIX would be added advantage.
- Experience of operating environment like Windows, Linux, HP-UX, Solaris and AIX would be added advantage.
- Handling various technical aspects like Cisco & Juniper Routers / Switches / Firewalls / Lease line Circuit & Network modules, monitoring critical paths 24/7 & taking appropriate actions.
- Expertise in managing IT operations with optimal utilization of resources.
Additional skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable in global working environment.
- Good at building team and cultivating team work
- Skills to train and mentor
- Experience working with off-shore delivery company and distributed teams is a plus
- Project planning, budgeting and resource management including good knowledge of project management tools would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with ITIL processes would be an advantage
Additional Information
This position may require travel to customer and partner locations in US and other countries.
The candidate should be willing to travel at a short notice.
