Sun certified system administrator
Technical expertise
- Sun Solaris, Linux (Suse , Redhat), Backup, HPUX, AIX
- Veritas Netback
- ex.net backup
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor the SUN servers to free up disk space by removing unnecessary files.
- Managing User / Group Administration.
- Creating file systems, disk partitioning and troubleshooting.
- Project Management Experience
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems hardware and software problems
- Analyze and diagnosis system failures recover and restore operating systems and file
systems
- Monitor system availability, load, and system capacity
- Schedule and execute regular system management activities, including system reboot,
backup, recovery, archiving, and restoration
- Solaris/Linux shell scripting (Bash and Korn)
- Experience configuring and supporting Apache and Tomcat
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Java based applications
- Visio and general documentation skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
Additional Requirements
- Needs to be hands on with technical skills
- Worked for major software or networking product company
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
Additional information
- Need to work in Shifts
- Need to travel to USA if required
