Dan Woolley

Board Member

Dan is a 40-year cybersecurity industry veteran with experience building successful global teams and building companies. He is Founder and Managing Partner of the Ponderosa Management Group. Prior to this, he was the general partner and co-founder of MACH37, the nation’s leading cybersecurity accelerator.  Dan’s experience spans software, hardware, and global cyber-security services companies as well as driving global strategic alliances for Fortune 500 companies.

Dan works with accelerator programs in Taiwan and the US. He works with “The Smart Cites Actuator”, The INOVA Personal Health Accelerator, is a committee member of The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), is on the executive advisory board of the Virginia Serious Game Institute (VSGI), is a regular “judge” on the AFCEA Cyber Security Shark Tank program, and the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC) technology “Shark Tank”.

Dan is involved with issues relating to the shortage of cybersecurity professionals supporting Security University in the Security+, CISSP and Veterans programs. He has experience with government. He has testified before US Congress on threats to the US corporate infrastructure and is regularly asked to speak about cybersecurity threats and the evolving state of the security industry.
